Our Clinic Policies

Appointments: We are basically a walk in clinic  but do encourage appointments if you need specific time and the Doctor, and cut waiting time.   All surgeries needs appointment and prior exam and authorization by the examining doctor. Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. We are open for scheduled appointments from:

  • Monday to Friday: 10 am - 4 pm
  • Saturday: Just walk ins only and no surgeries

Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

Types of Pets Seen:  Dogs and Cats

Open Hospital: Affordable Pet Clinic operates an open hospital. This means that our team welcomes owners to be with their animals during any medical procedure, How ever we limit number of persons coming with a patient to 1-2 to prevent unnecessary distraction of the staff and doctor. We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations and the staff will explain each charge and may provide you with options to choose. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.

Payment Policy:  We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, American Express, Care Credit, and Cash. We don't accept checks. 

Patient Arrival Policy: For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the reception area or exam rooms.  All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.

Prescriptions and Prescription Refills: Federal law requires that we must examine your animal prior to prescribing or dispensing most medications.  An annual examination and/or blood tests or other procedures may be required to refill most prescriptions. These requirements are for your pet’s safety. AND IT’S THE LAW. Your understanding in this matter is appreciated. If you have questions about refilling a prescription please do not hesitate to call us.
